1. I somewhat answered this on a similar question and happiness is something that comes from within no matter how much money a person has. I mean look at how many problems the financially wealthy have from addiction to suicide and yet people think they can literally buy happiness. There's no greater wealth than being content with yourself and the world around you and that starts with the particular person and their attitude toward themselves and others. Doing things like Yoga, meditation, exercise in general and even getting involved with religion can help us all find our true selves and even more important something greater than ourselves and those things don't cost a penny
2.
Buy assets, not liabilities.
Buy things that make money for you: stocks, real estate. Don’t buy things that don’t make money: clothing, fancy cars, etc.
Don’t buy assets you don’t understand.
When your friends at the bank try to sell you a complicated financial instrument that you don’t understand, chances are it’s a bad apple.
Make more money, not save more money.
No one increases their net worth by saving. They increase by making more money.
People who look rich are poor. People who look poor are rich.
People who drive fancy cars and flaunt their supposed wealth are probably not that wealthy.
